two small things

March 23, 2026

i have a fairly good collection of perfumes. from ombre nomad to dolce and gabbana velvet desert oud, shelves filled with scents that many people would consider premium.

yet this small bottle of fogg is the one i reach for the most.

two small things

it was a gift from a very good friend. nothing extravagant, just a simple fragrance that somehow stayed. i use it carefully, one light spray at a time, almost hoping it will never run out. over time it became more than a scent. it became a memory i can hold in my hand.

alongside it sits a small hairbrush.

it is not something i use often. it is not rare or expensive. but like the bottle, it carries a quiet weight. these two objects survived changes, moves, and chapters.

they remind me that meaning does not always live in luxury items or big milestones. sometimes it lives in the smallest, most ordinary things left behind by people.

i have many better perfumes.
i have newer things.
but these two stayed.

some things are valuable because of their price.
others are valuable because of the story they carry.
these two carry a story i am not ready to let go of.

until next.
take care :)
